1. Midday at the office, the sudden fear that you have left your laptop open in such a way that your cat can (and will) damage it — near an unfinished glass of water, near the edge of a table, etc.

2. The habit of looking back at your seat on the subway as you disembark as if you had, for some reason, emptied your pockets during the ride, forgotten about it completely, and only just remembered as the doors were closing.
