I talked to Too $hort about his catalog pre-XXL kerfluffle, so I think he was a bit more candid than he might have been otherwise. He’s a no-frills sort of entertainer, which is important to understand when approaching Too $hort’s catalog. He remade songs from his 75 Girls days (‘83-‘85) all the way until 1999, with “Invasion of the Flat Booty Bitches”.
